May 1 – 5, 2017, our HSAT Jaguar Family and Friends celebrated Right-to-Read Week.  During this festive week, HSAT  hosted 18 VIP guest readers, including Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson, 13abc’s Jay Berschback, and Concept School’s Andy Flaherty just to name a few. Additionally, HSAT hosts “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” Family Night. During this event, our K-5 students and family are invited to tour eight different rooms all inspired by different Dr. Seuss books. Rooms include not only reading, but also STEM activities, crafts, music, and games. And if that wasn’t enough, the school comes alive with books, as students and staff decorate doors as the covers of their favorite books, high school students create PSAs to promote reading, and our K-3 parents are invited to Donuts with Dad, Muffins with Mom family reading breakfast. A love of reading is thriving at HSAT!
