Horizon Science Academy Toledo has earned the Auditor of State Award. The award is given annually to local governments and school districts after completing a financial audit. To receive the award, agencies must have a clean audit report.
“I congratulate HSA Toledo for earning this award by keeping accurate financial records and stewarding taxpayer dollars responsibility,” Yasar Bora, Superintendent Concept Schools North Ohio Region said.
The Auditor’s office presents the Auditor of State Award to local governments and school districts upon the completion of a financial audit. Entities that receive the award meet the following criteria of a “clean” audit report:
- Filing financial reports on time
- The audit does not contain any findings of wrongdoing or questioned costs
- The independent audit contains no comments related to ethics referrals
- No public meetings or public records issues
“It is our goal to be good stewards of our taxpayers’ dollars and this award is testimony to the dedication and excellent work of all staff members at HSAT and at our management company, Concept Schools, who handle public funds. We take pride in our effective and accountable financial practices,” said Mrs. Snyder, HSA Toledo Principal.
Horizon Science Academy Toledo is a k-12 college-preparatory public-charter school in Toledo, Ohio specializing in STEM education.
