The HSAT Right-to-Read Week program (a recipient of the “Celebration Award” from the Ohio Literacy Foundation), is a whole week packed with events and activities to promote a love of reading in our community. In 2018, we had over 20 guest readers from all over Toledo including representatives from 13abc, Toledo Museum of Art, and Toledo Walleye just to name a few.

Currently, we are seeking community members who might be interested in being a VIP Guest Reader for our Right-to-Read Week Celebration 2019, April 29 – May 3, 2019 during the school day, 8:30am – 2:30pm.

HSAT’s VIP Guest Reader Program is designed for our K-3 audience; they love special guests (especially those who come with a book)

Being a VIP Guest Reader is easy

1. Simply pick out a children’s book (bring your own or we will even order a book of your choice).

2. Select a date and time, and come in and read to one of our K-3 classes.

The whole experience will take about 30 minutes and you’ll leave knowing you’ve done your part in encouraging a love of reading with our students.
Also, please consider sharing the link to this page with members of the community you think might be interested in being a guest reader.
