Dear Jaguar Parents & Guardians,
Thank you so much for your continued patience and support as we join schools around the state in awaiting clear guidance from the Ohio Department of Education (ODE). This guidance – which we have been assured will be forthcoming – will allow us to create more concrete plans for the 20-21 school year.
One thing that we do know based on responses to our recent parent restart survey, however, is that some members of our school community are still nervous about resuming any type of face-to-face school in the fall.
We have heard this concern, and we fully understand.
Our current plan is to provide parents several options for the 20-21 school year. This will enable our parents to do what they feel is best for their students and their families.
One of these options will be a fully-online school. Students enrolled in this option will not have to report to the physical school building but will, instead, complete all learning online.
We will share details of our other options as soon as they become available – as we can’t formalize the plans for in-person school before we receive guidance from the ODE. Some of the options we are considering do include different models for Elementary vs. Middle/High School, as younger students require more face-to-face engagement and reinforcement to succeed, comparatively.
Also, if you have not yet completed our parent survey, please do so by clicking the link below. We weigh parent opinion very highly in our decision making process, so the more input we get the better. Thank you to all parents who have completed this survey. Your opinions and ideas are very helpful.
As always, should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
